Prusa Brings 400°C Printing to the CORE One Family
Prusa’s HT Hotend upgrade expands the temperature range of compatible CORE One printers to 400°C, opening the door to materials such as PPS-CF, PEKK-CF and PPSU.
The upgrade supports the CORE One, CORE One+, CORE One+ Gen 2, CORE One L and CORE One L+. It is not compatible with INDX-equipped printers. Its hardened E3D ObXidian 500 nozzle also uses a different nozzle specification from Prusa’s regular and high-flow options.
The higher temperature ceiling is useful for engineering materials, but successful printing still depends on chamber temperature, filament drying, geometry and material formulation. A 400°C hotend alone does not establish reliable high-temperature performance.
