Bambu Lab Announces S1 3D Scanner for November

Bambu Lab has officially teased its first 3D scanner, the S1, with a planned November 2026 introduction.

The October 12 announcement shows a handheld device but does not disclose pricing, scanning accuracy, resolution or detailed software requirements.

The S1 could expand Bambu’s ecosystem into digitizing existing objects for replacement parts, custom accessories and other projects. However, the company has not confirmed a streamlined scan-to-print workflow or integration with Bambu Studio.

The important unanswered questions include performance on dark and reflective surfaces, small-feature capture, marker requirements, computer requirements and the amount of cleanup needed before a scan becomes printable.

Until those details and independent tests are available, the S1 remains an announced product rather than a proven scanning solution.
