California Adopts Conditional 3D-Printer Blocking Legislation
California chaptered AB 2047 on September 26. The legislation establishes a conditional process for firearm-printing blocking requirements, dependent on a technically feasible ASTM standard and subsequent state implementation.
It does not immediately require owners to modify existing printers. Future requirements depend on further standards and regulatory action, so the law should not be interpreted as an immediate change to current printer operation.
